BBA HAPAS Certification - Masterscreed
Why is it important?
The BBA HAPAS certification system ensures that the material is regulated and checked to comply with the requirements of the Specification for Highway Works as well as the additional requirements laid down by the pavements team within Highways England.
What testing occurs?
• Wheel Tracking at 50 deg.c
• Texture depth (both initial and after wheel tracking).
• Scuffing Test
• Heat ageing Skid Resistance
• Freeze/thaw skid, scuffing & texture
What is Masterscreed?
Masterscreed™ is a hot, hand-applied screed system for surface treatments for the repair of defective asphalt surfacing.
It can be used, and is certified (under BBA HAPAS) for full road width repairs and individual lengths up to 15 metres.
Depth Limitations
Masterscreed™ can be either applied:
A) as a single layer treatment for treating defects of nominal 7mm depth.
B) Where deeper repairs are needed we pretreat the defects with our BBA HAPAS approved patching material (Jointmaster IMP) BBA HAPAS certificate number 09/H149 before applying the single layer Masterscreed treatment over the top.
How can I get Masterscreed done?
Once site/sites have been identified, we will:
a) Survey the site and measure the quantities of repairs required.
b) Provide a written quotation based on those quantities
c) After receiving an instruction we will agree a programme of works with you and carry out the work
