We have been chosen as the sporting partner for many events across the country, helping to prepare surfaces with our high quality workmanship.

with Jointmaster
Bolton Ironman 2021
With over 2,000 competitors expected, Bolton City Council had concerns over the 4500 linear metres of defects leading up to the finish line. They needed to repair the road in the most cost effective way to extend the life of the existing surface. We proposed the Jointmaster system, which offers a flush repair while maintaining the flexibility required to prevent further cracking in the concrete road construction.

with Masterscreed
Tour of Britain cycling 2018 & 2019
We repaired over 500 sq.m of defects on the 174.1km long 5th stage in Birkenhead using our Masterscreed system whose key features are its speed of application, its high performance, its versatility, and its short cure times.

Chorley New Road was cracked at every 3.5 metre bay joint, with potholes forming at key points. All joints were treated before the big day.

Cambridge Half Marathon
Cambridge is well known for its cyclists, and the extensive network of cycle lanes and bus lanes need regular maintenance. Our BBA/HAPAS approved Masterscreed has provided a valuable addition to the maintenance programmes, especially in the lead up to events such as the Cambridge Half Marathon. Diverting runners onto a carriageway that has different tolerances for vehicles than pedestrians raises the risk of trips and falls of runners competing along the route. Masterscreed provided a safe, level surface, repairing potholes and cracks, and could also be supplied in a red colour to match the bus lane.

London 2012 Olympics
In the lead up to the games, Transport for London were extremely concerned that a collapsed manhole on the dedicated games lanes could cause international embarrassment and major congestion. A series of 289 manhole replacements and repairs were carried out using our BBA/HAPAS approved Ironmaster system across London on all principal roads and the client was pleased to confirm that there were no issues with Ironwork throughout the games. With a 5-year Guarantee, these works provided a long term benefit as legacy of the games, ensuring continuing value.
